Becoming aware of what our body already knows
The Rosen Method is a mind-body practice that connects the body and emotions. Through touch, it enables us to become aware of our muscular tensions and what they conceal.
What the body holds, the body can release
The Rosen Method is based on a simple observation: our muscular tensions are not solely physical. They carry within them held-back emotions and postures that we have had to adopt. Throughout our lives, our body has developed strategies for dealing with life events: to protect us, to maintain control, or simply to exist.
The Rosen Method connects chronic muscular tensions with our body memory. It is practiced through gentle and compassionate touch. By deeply relaxing the muscles, fascia, and breathing, it enables us to release our blocks and become aware of our unconscious reaction patterns. Gradually, what was being held back is released: we regain a greater sense of safety and vitality, while awakening a more authentic awareness and acceptance of who we truly are.
The Rosen Method works on the metabolic, emotional, behavioral, and mental levels.
A space to truly pause.
A Rosen session takes place with you lying on a massage table, covered with a sheet, in a confidential and caring setting. The sheet is moved aside only in the areas being worked on.
Guided by reading the body, observing the breath, and engaging in dialogue with you, my work consists of meeting your muscular tensions. My touch then supports you in becoming aware of your body, its holding patterns, and its potential.
I practice in an office in Brussels (1190) and another in Daverdisse (6929). Sessions are conducted in French, English, or German, and last 1. 5 hours in total. The fee is €50 or according to each person’s financial means.
A personal journey that became a profession
The Rosen Method has been part of my life for many years. Initially, I turned to bodywork because I felt limited by cognitive therapy. I quickly experienced the power of this method and the beginning of profound changes within me.
What I believed to be a personal healing journey gradually became a new profession. I then decided to start my practice in an office as an internal practitioner. At the same time, I co-founded the Rosen Method Institute Belgium with Anne Closset. The Institute’s aim is to develop this bodywork in Belgium.
