Presentation
I’m Julie Lachaud, a Couples and Family Counsellor trained in sexology. I offer individual or couples support relating to relationships, emotional life, and sexuality.
Personal difficulties, tensions within the couple, questions about sexuality, or a desire for change: it is not always easy to know where to start or how to move forward. There are many reasons for seeking a consultation, and they are unique to each person.
My approach is above all based on listening, simplicity, and authenticity. I aim to offer a space where you can set down what is troubling you, put words to what you are feeling, and reflect on your own journey without fear of judgment. The aim is to take the time to understand what is happening for you and to look together for approaches that suit you.
I also believe that serious subjects can be addressed without always taking ourselves too seriously. Humour has its place when it helps us breathe, put things into perspective, or look at a situation from another angle. It never replaces listening, but it can sometimes open a door where everything seemed blocked.
There is no universal recipe or magic potion that would work in the same way for everyone. Drawing on your own resources and moving at your own pace, I offer you instead a space for meeting, reflection, and exploration of your doubts or contradictions.
Because it is not always necessary to be suffering greatly to ask for help, and because there is no shame in seeking to understand yourself better, improve your relationships, or experience your emotional and sexual life more serenely.
The goal is not to become someone else, but to be able to move towards something that feels more like you.
